The Whole Lotta Lovelace Tour

Recalling that magic moment when Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Bonham joined Fairport Convention at the Troubador in 1970 (because yes, it'll be just like that), I'll be among the readers performing their works to celebrate the release of The Official Book of Sex, Drugs & Rock N Roll Lists at the Powerhouse Arena bookstore on Thursday, July 12, from 7 pm to 9 pm.

Written and edited by Judy McGuire, The Official Book of Sex, Drugs & Rock N Roll Lists is the natural follow-up to my own Official Heavy Metal Book of Lists (itself the unnatural follow-up to The Official Punk Rock Book of Lists by Handsome Dick Manitoba and Amy Wallace) and features contributions from NY1's Pat Kiernan, Andrew WK, Coco, Theo Kogan and myself, among many, many others. I wax listful on my favorite rock songs about Lenny Bruce.

More details as they are revealed to me.

Previously on the Whole Lotta Lovelace Tour

We're kicking off The Whole Lotta Lovelace Tour in anticipation of the re-release of The Complete Linda Lovelace with a very special event.

On Sunday, June 10, Eric Danville will be reading selections from the first chapter of The Complete Linda Lovelace in the upstairs lounge at 2A (25 Avenue A, New York, NY; 212-505-2466) as part of the Treehouse, the weekly showcase presented by Tom Clark. The doors open at 8 p.m. Eric hits the stage at 8:30 and will be sharing the bill with the rockin' combo Spanking Charlene.

This gig is special for several reasons. First, it takes place two days before the 40th Anniversary of the premiere of Deep Throat at the New Mature World Theater on June 12, 1972. Due to a previously booked art exhibit, a planned showing of Deep Throat memorabilia has been postponed; we will, however, present a special salute to the film by our friend DJ Saucy Jack Bastard that you won't want to miss!

Second, the show is being recorded live for release as an audiobook to coincide with the reissue of The Complete Linda Lovelace in September.

Third, there's no cover, but since space is limited, we suggest you get your name on the guest list. Admission is open to all who arrive (meaning you don't have to be on the guest list to attend), but the first 40 people coming to the performance with their names on the guest list will receive a special goodie bag with, among other things, a drink ticket. So you get free entertainment, swag and a drink on the house. If that doesn't make you come, we don't know what will...

To get on the guest list, email your name and probable number of friends you intend to drag along to:

and please include the phrase Guest List in the subject line.
